RSC Religion & Security Council is organizing a Forum on “The Future of Religious Minorities in the Middle East in Rome on Tuesday 11 December 2018, at the Embassy of Italy to the Holy See (Palazzo Borromeo, Via delle Belle Arti 2).
The Forum will examine the challenges and prospects concerning religious minorities in the Middle East, bringing together institutional authorities and personalities from the political, religious, diplomatic, and academic field; officials of international organizations; researchers of think tanks and study centers; representatives of the civil society and the media.
The proceedings will devote particular attention to the Middle East Christian communities, interreligious dialogue in conflicts resolution, and the role of the international community in ensuring the respect of religious freedom.
The Forum is organized in partnership with the Custody of the Holy Land, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher, Notre Dame University-Louaize, and the Middle East Institute for Research and Strategic Studies.
Dr. Elie El Hindy, director of the Middle East Institute for Research and Strategic Studies will participate in the second panel titled: “Interreligious Dialogue and Conflict Resolution: What Role for the Christians?
